AZERBAIJANI JUDOISTS TO CONTEST AT INTERNATIONAL TOURNAMENT, GERMANY
The Azerbaijan national judo team will leave for Germany on August 10 to take part in the international German Open Tournament, as well as the training camps to be held in Braunschweig city, the coach of the national team Agayar Akhundzade said.
The national team includes Elchin Ismayilov (66 kg), Elnur Mammadli (73 kg), Mehman Azizov (81 kg), Elkhan Mammadov (90 kg), Movlud Miraliyev (100kg), Fariz Ramizzade (100 kg), Kafayet Gasymova (57 kg) and Ramila Yusubova (63 kg).
The coach said only Fariz Ramizzade and Ramila Yusubova are going to contest in the tournament, while the others to join the training camps.
After returning from Germany, the national judoists will gather in one-week training camps in Zagulba, Azerbaijan. These trainings will be the last stage of preparation for the World Championship in Brazil to be started in early September.
