Azerbaijani judokas clinch 11 medals at IBSA Grand Prix in Baku

Azerbaijani judokas have captured 11 medals, including three golds, four silvers and four bronze medals at the IBSA (International Blind Sports Federation) Grand Prix held in Baku.
The gold medals were clinched by Vugar Shirinli in the 60kg weight class and female judokas Shahane Hajiyeva (48kg) and Sevda Valiyeva (57kg).
Azerbaijan ranked second in the overall medal table of the IBSA Grand Prix. Uzbekistan topped the medal table, while Ukraine finished third.
The two-day Grand Prix commemorating Azerbaijan`s national leader Heydar Aliyev brought together 214 judokas from 35 countries. Azerbaijan’s squad included 21 Paralympic athletes.
