Azerbaijani rowers arrive in London
Baku, July 24 (AZERTAC). Azerbaijani rowers who will represent the country in Summer Olympic Games Natalya Mustafayeva and Alexander Alexandrov have arrived in the capital of the Great Britain.
The sportsmen have already completed the training-camp which was held in Poland and now they are in London.
The Azeri Olympians have settled in the Hotel near the “Eton Dorney” Rowing Centre there with the Head Coach Rudiger Huaffe and his assistant Yuliana Stoyeva.
The all rowers who will participate in the Games will settle in this Hotel, not in Olympic Village. The reason is that the competition place is situated in the countryside.
Alexandrov and Mustafayeva will train first time in “Eton Dorney” today.
The Azeri athletes’ rivals will be known on July 26 at 19:30 local time after the draw.
The competitions will start on 28th of July.
Alexander Alexandrov (M1X) and Natalya Mustafayeva (W1X) will compete in the 2000 metres event in the one-person boats.
Alexandrov will race with 32 competitors and Mustafayeva with 27.
The athletes will start the games from the ¼ final stage on the July 31.
The semi-finals will be held on August 1-2 and the final on the3rd and 4th of the August.
