Azerbaijani, Swiss central banks explore cooperation

As part of their visit to Uzbekistan, an Azerbaijani delegation led by Aliyar Mammadyarov, First Deputy Governor of the country’s Central Bank, met with a Swiss delegation led by Martin Schlegel, Governor of the Swiss National Bank. The Swiss delegation also included Christoph Koenig, State Secretary at the State Secretariat for International Finance (SIF), and Pietro Lazzeri, State Secretary at the State Secretariat for Economic Affairs (SECO).
The officials discussed cooperation between the central banks of Azerbaijan and Switzerland, as well as global and regional economic developments. The meeting further reviewed Azerbaijan's macroeconomic outlook and recent financial sector trends.
The talks also explored expanding bilateral cooperation and addressed other issues of mutual interest.
