Azerbaijan’s Economic Council convenes its first meeting in 2024

Prime Minister Ali Asadov has today chaired the first meeting of the Azerbaijan’s Economic Council this year.
The agenda of the meeting included discussions regarding the socio-economic development indicators of 2023, the Action Plan of the Economic Council for 2024, the results of assessment of the efficiency of concessions and exemptions in the tax and customs domains, the improvement of assessment mechanism, as well as the prospects for upgrading the sovereign credit rating of the Republic of Azerbaijan, 2023 activity report of the Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communication and its Action Plan for 2024, as well as other issues.
The meeting heard the reports of Azerbaijani Finance Minister Samir Sharifov, Deputy Finance Minister Azer Bayramov and Executive Director of the Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communication Vusal Gasimli.
In conclusion, the meeting participants adopted the decisions on the issues discussed with instructions given to the relevant bodies.
