AZERBAIJAN`S ICT MINISTER PARTICIPATES IN CIS INFORMATION TECHNOLOGIES` MEETINGS

Baku, May 13 (AZERTAC). Azeri Minister of Communication and Information Technologies Ali Abbasov participated in the 42nd meeting of the CIS Council of Administration Heads of the Regional Communications as well as in the 15th meeting of the CIS Coordination Council on Information Technologies.

The meetings focused on development of information and communications fields in 2009-2012, improvement of electronic services, as well as preparatory works for International Telecommunication Union (ITU).

Ali Abbasov met with Secretary General of ITU, leadership of the World Postal Union, ICT Ministers of Russia, Moldova, Kazakhstan and Slovenia.

Abbasov also visited the 22nd International exhibition of information technologies and communications, which brought together about 540 companies from 22 countries.
