Azeri ambassador interviewed by Japanese TV

Tokyo, January 22 (AZERTAC). Azerbaijan`s ambassador to Japan Gursel Ismayilzade gave an interview to International Channel Blue 3.0 internet TV.

The channel has so far interviewed some 60 ambassadors accredited in Japan.

Prior to the interview, Japanese singer Masako Shindo performed the hymn of Azerbaijan.

Interviewer, professor of the Tokyo University Masanobu Yamamoto said the Azerbaijani ambassador obtained his education in Japan.

The ambassador provided comprehensive information about Azerbaijan. He underlined the role of national leader Heydar Aliyev in Azerbaijan`s regaining its independence. He noted President Ilham Aliyev is successfully continuing the strategic growth line defined by national leader Heydar Aliyev.

The ambassador also touched upon the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict and showed the map of occupied Azerbaijani lands to the viewers.

Ismayilzade spoke about a series of events to celebrate 20th anniversary of Azerbaijan-Japan diplomatic relations. He demonstrated the first issue of the Irs magazine in Japanese language.

The ambassador dwelled upon the cooperation as part of the GUAM+Japan project and participation of Japanese companies in oil projects in the country.
