AZERI DEPUTY PM MEETS PRESIDENT OF MOLDOVAN ACADEMY OF SCIENCES
Azerbaijan`s deputy Prime Minister Elchin Afandiyev met with president of the Academy of Sciences of Moldova Gheorghe Duca, who is on visit in the country.
The meeting discussed prospects for expanding cooperation between the two states` academies of sciences.
Elchin Afandiyev said a special commission was created to deal with the conduction of reforms related to the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences (ANAS).
Gheorghe Duca praised the governmental support of developing science in Azerbaijan.
The president of the Moldovan Academy of Sciences said in Baku he will also attend events commemorating the 85th jubilee of nationwide leader Heydar Aliyev.
Mahmud Karimov, the president of ANAS, was also present at the meeting.
