AZERI FM MEETS ROMANIAN MEMBER OF EUROPEAN PARLIAMENT
Elmar Mammadyarov, Foreign Minister of Azerbaijan met April 30 with Adrian Severin, member of the European Parliament from Romania.
Mr. Adrian Severin stressed necessity of intensification of cooperation with Azerbaijan within the New Neighborhood Policy of the European Union (EU) and establishing strategic partnership with the country.
According to him, the EU attaches tremendous importance to Azerbaijan for its favorable geographical position, dynamic economic development, as well as its contribution to the EU-Central Asia cooperation.
Mr. Elmar Mammadyarov said the first report on implementing New Neighborhood Policy Action Plan by Azerbaijan has already been developed.
The Minister underlined Azerbaijan’s integration into Europe has facilitated progress in the country.
The sides also exchanged views on the resolution of the Armenia-Azerbaijan, Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, while condemning Armenia’s policy of occupation and ethnic cleanse against Azerbaijan
