AZERTAC BECOMES REGION`S LEADING NEWS AGENCY, ALI HASANOV
“AZERTAC has become the leading news agency for the past two-three years not only in Azerbaijan but also in the region,” Head of the Presidential Administration`s socio-political department Ali Hasanov told journalists Wednesday at the seventh meeting of the 7th meeting of the General Assembly of the Association of News Agencies of Turkic-speaking countries (TKA).
According to Hasanov, the news distributed by AZERTAC is used in every country. AZERTAC has recently become a member of the European Alliance of News Agencies and earlier the Organization of Asia-Pasific News Agencies.
The fact that the TKA forum is held in Azerbaijan indicates to the increasing prestige of Azerbaijan and AZERTAC itself. The meeting will provide information about the ongoing processes in our country.
Mr. Hasanov said Azerbaijan wants the Turkic news agencies inform the world community about the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, Armenia`s military aggression, problems of refugees and IDPs and transnational projects.
Ali Hasanov noted that mutual support of news agencies of Turkish-speaking countries would bring benefits to them.
