Azerbaijan State News Agency, AZERTAC, has updated its logo and website.
AZERTAC, the country’s first news agency which has been operating continuously since March 1, 1920, has decided to design a new logo to renew its image, and demonstrate its tasks and objectives fully and expressly.
National identity, information activity, the fact that AZERTAC is the country's first news agency, journalistic traditions, and historical values are reflected in the new logo as the main directions. The components of the logo emphasize concepts such as processing and communicating information to the world and circulating it over a wider geography. The octagonal logo shows the agency's commitment to its historical traditions.
The accuracy of news reporting, the prevention of fake news, the delivery of invariably verified information to the public are among AZERTAC’s priorities. With this in mind, the idea of verification and publication of information has also paved its way into the logo.
Predominantly blue colors have been used, which is associated with a serious approach, reliability and trust.
AZERTAC's website will now operate in a new design. The site stands out for features such as simplicity, dynamism, user-friendliness, new functionalities, high-quality photo and video hosting, and easy download on mobile devices. This design allows users the opportunity to easily switch between sections.
AZERTAC was founded by the Azerbaijan Democratic Republic back on March 1, 1920. Currently, the agency broadcasts news in eight languages and video actuality in five. AZERTAC, which officially partners with 50 news agencies and media outlets of the world, is represented on the News Agencies World Congress, the European Alliance of News Agencies, the Organization of Asia-Pacific News Agencies, the Union of National News Agencies of the Organization of Islamic Countries, the “One Belt, One Road” Economic Information Platform, the Union of Turkic-speaking News Agencies and other international information organizations. In addition to being a member, AZERTAC is also represented on the management bodies of some of these organizations.
