AZPROMO INAUGURATES TBILISI OFFICE
Baku, September 9 (AZERTAC). Azerbaijan Export and Investment Promotion Foundation, AzPromo, has opened a representative office in Tbilisi, Georgia. An inauguration ceremony brought together Azeri ministerial officials, parliamentarians and about 30 businessmen engaged in various fields of economy both in Georgia and Azerbaijan.
Speaking to the event, Niyazi Safarov, Azeri deputy minister of economic development, highlighted Azerbaijan`s achievements in “creating favorable business and investment climate” in the country.
“The government has increased support of entrepreneurship and crucial progress has been made in business relations with foreign countries, including Georgia.”
Zurab Pololikashvili, Georgian minister of economic development, said opening of AzPromo`s office in Tbilisi would contribute to “attracting more investments from Azerbaijan”.
“This will help our countries increase bilateral trade and boost business relations,” Pololikashvili said.
Namig Aliyev, Azeri Ambassador in Tbilisi, expressed confidence the new office would be “an effective tool for expanding economic cooperation between Georgia and Azerbaijan”.
Nikoloz Natbiladze, Georgian Ambassador in Baku, echoed his counterpart`s words, saying “we believe this will be beneficial for both sides”.
Ganira Pashayeva, head of an Azerbaijan-Georgia inter-parliamentary friendship group, praised the level of Azerbaijan-Georgia relationship.
Farida Akhundova, AzPromo’s acting president, highlighted the Tbilisi office`s priorities.
