BAKU HOSTS INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE ON WORLD’S GAS INFRASTRUCTURE

Baku, 15 September (AZERTAC). Today hotel Hyatt Regency Nakhchivan plays host to the two-day international conference titled “Gas Infrastructure World Caspian 2009”. The conference is organized on the threshold of 15th anniversary of the “Contract of the Century”.

President of SOCAR Rovnag Abdullayev and the European energy commissioner Andris Piebalgs made an opening address at the conference. The conference mainly focused on the development of Caspian gas reserves, reforms at the global gas market and their influence on the Caspian region, intergovernmental cooperation in the field of gas export, financing of the major gas projects and other matters.
