Baku State University, Bukhara State Medical Institute strengthen cooperation

Azerbaijan’s Baku State University (BSU) hosted a meeting with Laziz Niyazov, Vice-Rector for International Cooperation of Uzbekistan’s Bukhara State Medical Institute named after Abu Ali ibn Sino.
The meeting focused on implementing the memorandum of understanding signed between the two institutions in May 2025.
BSU Vice-Rector for International Relations Shahin Panahov noted that the memorandum will enhance academic cooperation through student and faculty exchanges, the establishment of scientific and pedagogical links, and joint research projects.
Laziz Niyazov proposed joint scientific research initiatives in biology, chemistry, informatics, pharmacy, and particularly genetics within the framework of the memorandum.
Both sides expressed optimism about the future of their collaboration and anticipated further development and achievements.
