BANKS AUTHORIZED CAPITAL STOCK ON RISE
40 credit organizations are licensed to attract people’s funds: 42 of them may operate with foreign currency, 1- with precious metals, 27 - with credit cards.
43 banks operate in Azerbaijan so far. 16 banks have foreign share: the percentage of foreign share in four banks varies from 50 to 100 while lower than 50 percent in 11 banks. One bank functions as a branch of the non-resident banks.
In total, credit organizations have 315 branches within the country and just 1 affiliated branch, 1 representation office, and 1 affiliated bank function abroad. Non-bank credit organizations have 19 branches. The activity of one bank is suspended.
The authorized capital stock of all the banks totaled 723,3 billion manats by April 1 and it is 11,3 percent higher than that of the same period last year.
81 billion manats of the total sum fall to the share of state banks while 642,3 billion manats - to private banks. The authorized capital stock of foreign share banks made up 277,3 billion manats and it makes 38,3 percent of the total volume of authorized fund.
On average, each bank possesses 16,8 billion manats of the authorized capital.
