The last year amount the bp-Azerbaijan spent on development of social sphere in Azerbaijan was 2 mln 717 thousand dollars.

The company’s PR Department told AzerTAj reporter that the funds had been used for accomplishment and equipping schools, and carrying out other works in the territories of implementing Azeri-Chirag-Gunashli and Shahdeniz projects, as well as along with main export pipeline Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan and Southern Caucasian export gas pipeline.

In 2004, bp-Azerbaijan intends to invest $5 mln 200 thousand more in social sphere.
