CIS ECONOMIC COUNCIL HOLDS SITTING
As preparation for the sitting of the CIS Economic Council, a regular sitting of the Commission on Economic issues under the CIS Economic Council has taken place in Moscow, AzerTAj correspondent reports. The sitting participants discussed the draft single budget of CIS bodies financed from the CIS member-state’s budgets, sharing budget assignments in line with estimate of expenditure items of CIS bodies for 2004. The working group also heard the report on the exercise of decisions made by the Council at the previous sitting of the commission on economic issues, exercise of decisions of the Council of CIS Heads of Governments as to the conception of the agreed tariff policy establishment for railway transport of CIS countries, on the draft decision of the Council of Heads of Governments on basis of contribution to financing the overhaul and restoration of the memorial complex “Brest Fortress” and major directions of operations and creation of the CIS grain market until 2010.
Azerbaijan was represented by the second secretary of the embassy of Azerbaijan to Russia Arif Novruzov.
