COLLECTIVE OF “SURAKHANINEFT” OIL-GAS PRODUCTION FIELD
I extend to you my sincere congratulations on the occasion of 100th anniversary of industrial production of oil in the “Surakhani” oil field.
This landmark event began hundred years ago has made its worthy contributions in the economic development of our country, played significant role in recognition of Azerbaijan as an oil country. Hitherto, in the said area there have been drilled 2500 wells and produced 15 million tons of oil and 11 billion cubic meters gas. Application of modern technologies in the said area has significantly increased productivity of the field. Quality of the extracted oil made competitive the country’s oil products in the world markets.
This landmark day coincides with another significant date. We are going to mark 10th anniversary of the “Contract of the Century” signed in the frame of oil strategy and architect of which was our national leader Heydar Aliyev. This Contract is both economically and politically of invaluable importance in the centuries-old history of oil industry of Azerbaijan.
The “Surakhanineft” Oil-Gas Production Field is distinguished with its professional staff. Our people are proud of the well-known oilmen who are also famous beyond our country.
I am convinced that You will worth the name of Azerbaijan oilmen, do your best to strengthen our independent Republic’s economy, make our Motherland a powerful country.
