CONCERT OF EGYPTIAN MUSICIANS HELD AT STATE PHILHARMONIC
The event was opened by remarks by Azerbaijan’s Minister of Culture and Tourism Abulfaz Qarayev who spoke of his country’s cultural relations with other countries.
He said a number of countries recently hosted the Days of Azerbaijani Culture.
The minister noted last year Egypt hosted the Days of Azerbaijani Culture, which he said were a success.
Mr. Qarayev added he believes the current Days of Egyptian Culture in Azerbaijan will also spark the interest of his country’s people.
“Today, we already saw an Egyptian film and familiarized ourselves with exhibition of friendly country’s artists at the Art Exhibition Hall”, the Azeri Minister said.
Egyptian Deputy Minister of Culture Mohammed Anwar Ibrahim conveyed the greetings from his country’s President, Hosni Mubarak, to President of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev.
The Egyptian guest pointed to the deeply rooted ties between the two countries.
Speaking of Days of Azerbaijani culture in Egypt, Mr. Ibrahim noted that “we enjoyed listening to your music, and familiarized ourselves with your art”.
“I believe the Days of Egyptian Culture in Azerbaijan will also be a success, because the Azerbaijani people love Egypt’s cinema and music very much”, Egyptian Deputy Minister of Culture added.
Then, the audience enjoyed performance of Egyptian musicians.
