Country driver: Higher Education System - clearly shows the goal of reform

Today I openly declare the truth that our people have realized, the system of higher education in our country has undergone such great changes that higher education in Uzbekistan has risen to the level of a national direction. Over the past 6 years, the system has laid a solid foundation for quality and efficiency. More importantly, a child in every family receives a higher education and in this family they are confident in the future. The path to salvation was open to the people through education and science.
As a result of these changes, youth enrollment in higher education increased from 9 to 39 percent, and the desire of more than a million young people who felt the happiness of being a student came true.
We are often asked this question: How was it achieved?
Of course, we have a clear answer to this: the cardinal reforms carried out by our President in the higher education system, changes aimed at improving the quality of education, financial and academic independence for the first time in the country for state higher educational institutions, today are bearing fruit, raising the value of the intelligentsia, honor and values of teachers to the constitutional level, freeing them from forced labor, eliminating bureaucratic barriers, creating a broad creative environment for science. Such attention and care motivates us, especially our youth, to study from the heart, work hard, innovate, achieve high goals, and serve the Motherland faithfully.
The fact that the President of the country created a free scientific and creative environment for the teaching staff is evidenced by the fact that 41 universities of the country were granted academic and financial independence. Thanks to this, financial and academic stability was ensured in universities, and new curriculum and innovative programs were developed independently based on world standards. Scientific approaches among the intelligentsia began to be completely updated, science was completely reformed by the decision of the Head of State. Now the foundations of all areas have a solid scientific base. After all, science itself has been transferred to a conceptual basis. As a result, efficiency increased, the investment attractiveness of higher education began to appear, and the commercialization of science became possible.
At the same time, the reimbursement of contract money from the state budget to women studying in the master on a paid contract basis has helped many women throughout Uzbekistan, and thousands of our girls have paid attention to this. Thanks to this reform, it was openly emphasized that behind every woman there is a head of state. There is a wise expression in our people. If you raise your son, you are doing yourself a favor. If you raise your daughter, you will benefit the nation. Thus, doing good to people, good was shared with the upcoming generation. As for the results in the field of scientific research, universities are introducing a new international method - a credit-modular system - into the educational process - a strategy for self-improvement and personal development of each student. That is, a way to achieve high-quality education is determined by activating the individual through their own research.
The “Concept for the Development of the Higher Education System of the Republic of Uzbekistan until 2030”, implemented at the initiative of the President, strengthens the forces of the intelligentsia and provides great opportunities for scientific research. In the case of Fergana State University, it is clear that as a result of these conditions, 85 dissertations were defended at the university last year, and this year the number has increased to 100. Fortunately, most of the defenders are young. So, with the love and support of the head of state, our youth returned to science.
In particular, the system of work with talented youth, their correct selection, and individual activity was revived. As a result, 18 scholarship holders graduated from the university: scholarship holders of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, scholarship holders of state and famous scholarships.
Also, the orientation towards inclusive education is an important guarantee for many young people not to be isolated, to form and mature as full-fledged members of society. More than 300 children of the "Orphanage" and orphans who are fully supported by the state are studying at our university, as well as financially encouraging students with disabilities, children from families included in the "Iron Notebook" list.
Thanks to the reforms carried out by our President Shavkat Mirziyoyev in the field of employment of our youth, today the number of students of Ferghana State University studying and receiving income in the form of correspondence courses has exceeded 5,000 people. These student workers work alongside us. Most of them worked at the Akbilol and Dostlik educational and experimental agricultural plots assigned to the university, were engaged in animal husbandry, beekeeping, floriculture, pomegranate cultivation, horticulture, viticulture, vegetable growing, and biohumus cultivation. Regional integration work continues effectively, and hundreds of students working at local enterprises and large agricultural companies, regional industrial centers, factories, farms and clusters are getting real practice and gaining experience.
To be honest, the great reformer who is at the center of these revolutionary changes and developments taking place in our lives, in our country, is our esteemed President.
