DEFENSE MINISTER OF AZERBAIJAN VISITING UKRAINE

As was informed, since 8 April, defense minister of Azerbaijan, colonel-general Safar Abiyev is staying in Ukraine with a 2-day official visit.

On 8 April, head of the defense department of Azerbaijan met the Chairman of the Supreme Rada of Ukraine Vladimir Litvin. The parties discussed issues of mutual interest.

On 9 April, Safar Abiyev and accompanying delegation visited one of the Ukraine military training grounds.

In the mid-day, the defense minister of Azerbaijan, accompanied by the ambassador of Azerbaijan to Ukraine visited the Embassy of Azerbaijan in Kiev and the place where the monument of the national leader of Azerbaijan Heydar Aliyev is to be erected.
