DELEGATION OF GERMANY SATISFIED WITH RESULTS OF BAKU NEGOTIATIONS
As was informed by AzerTAj, opening the meeting, ambassador Klaus Grevlich has noted that the negotiations, which have been carried out by delegation, headed by the representative of the ministry of economic development and cooperation of Germany on the countries of Asia, Middle and the Eastern Europe Dr Rainer Gerdeler, have rounded successfully. Discussed were a complex of questions concerning the course of performance of projects, carried out in Azerbaijan at financial support of Federal Republic of Germany, and also preparation of new joint plans of action in the field of economy.
Ambassador K. Grevlich has reminded that for today to Azerbaijan on the part of Germany has been allocated in total 303 million Euros, 140 million of which have been given within the framework of programs of European Union’s assistance, and 130,3 million Euros - according to bilateral agreements. The rest of this amount (33 million Euros) has been spent for development of bilateral technical cooperation.
Touching upon the results of the meetings which have been conducted in Baku with minister of economic development of Azerbaijan by Farhad Aliyev, Dr. Rainer Gerdeler has noted, that in the nearest years the basic accent in development of the German-Azerbaijan relations would be made on "market economy and acceleration of rates of economic reforms".
"I am satisfied with the results of the negotiations ", Dr. Gerdeler told, having noted, thus, during intergovernmental negotiations agreements on granting to Azerbaijan of 13,83 million Euros have been signed within the framework of development of bilateral cooperation in sphere of the finance and 5 million Euros as support of technical cooperation between two countries.
