Baku, December 27 (AZERTAC). Azerbaijan has been one of the world`s fastest growing economies this year amidst ongoing global economic crisis, authoritative English-language “Economist” newspaper said in its December issue.

The article said Azerbaijan`s GDP started growing even faster by the end of the year. It also highlights GDP growth rates in China, Zambia and Malawi.

Publication of the newspaper began in 1843 in London. The weekly focuses on international politics and business news and opinion.
