EDUCATION MINISTRIES OF AZERBAIJAN AND KOREA SIGN MEMO
Minister of Education of Azerbaijan Misir Mardanov Thursday met with a Korean delegation led by the country’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Education and Human Resources Kim Shin-il.
Minister Mardanov pointed to expanding bilateral educational relationships between the two countries, noting that Korean language was taught in several vocational schools in Azerbaijan. He added that negotiations in this area are underway with Korean company Daewoo. The Minister also informed the visitors that in the next few days five Azerbaijani students would leave for Korea to continue their education in this country’s universities.
Minister of Education and Human Resources Kim Shin-il pointed out the importance of further expansion of Azerbaijan-Korea relations in the sphere of education. He also highly praised educational reforms being implemented in Azerbaijan.
After the two Ministers signed a memorandum of understanding on cooperation in education, they responded to questions from journalists.
Also present at the meeting was Ambassador of the Republic of Korea to Azerbaijan Lu Kwang-Chul.
