EUROPEAN TAEKWONDO YOUTH CHAMPIONSHIP STARTS IN BAKU
European Taekwondo Youth Championship, which brought together 362 athletes from 38 countries, began October 26 at Heydar Aliyev Sports and Concert Complex in Baku.
Azerbaijan’s Minister of Youth and Sports Azad Rahimov welcomed participants. President of European Taekwondo Union (ETU) Atanasios Progalos expressed his gratitude to Azerbaijan government for organizing high-level competitions.
Vice President of the World Taekwondo Federation and President of Azerbaijan Taekwondo Federation Kamaladdin Heydarov underlined that construction of the Olympic sports complexes and staging of high-level competitions in Azerbaijan are vivid evidence of President Ilham Aliyev’s care for sports.
At the close of conference, A.Rahimov, K.Heydarov and Vice President of Azerbaijan Taekwondo Federation Fizuli Musayev received ETU rewards.
