FAMILIARIZATION WITH VAYKHYR WATER RESERVOIR
After that, President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev arrived at the Vaykhyr Water Reservoir. Built on the instruction of the nationwide leader Heydar Aliyev, this reservoir will fully satisfy the needs of Babek and Shakhbuz regions of Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic in sprinkling water.
Informing President Ilham Aliyev on the work in progress, Chairman of the Supreme Majlis of the Nakhchivan AR Vasif Talibov noted that 90 bln manats worth work had been done so far, on construction of the water reservoir and main channels. Some 100 mln cubic meters of water will be collected in the reservoir that will allow sprinkling some 16800 hectares of sown areas.
