FIFA AND UEFA PRESIDENTS ATTEND OPENING OF AFFA`S ADMINISTRATION BUILDING
Presidents of FIFA and UEFA, Mr. Joseph S. Blatter and Mr. Michel Platini attended October 17 the opening ceremony of AFFA`s administration building.
Addressing the meeting, AffA`s Secretary General Elxan Mammadov underlined that “Shafa” stadium, 40 sports grounds covered with artificial grass were constructed, and “Respublica” stadium after Tofig Bayramov repaired.
Mr. Platini stressed the importance of trilateral cooperation between AFFA, UEFA and FIFA to propagandize and develop Azerbaijani football.
Azerbaijan`s Minister of Youth and Sports Azad Rahimov told of development of football in Azerbaijan. Minister underlined that construction of the sports complexes and football grounds occupies an important place in construction work of the country.
Later, Presidents of UEFA and FIFA cut a red ribbon symbolizing the opening of AFFA`s administration building. The guests familiarized themselves with the building and officials` working environment.
Representative of Turkey’s Football Federation Suheyl Onen, Vice President of Ukraine`s Football Federation Anatoly Bidenko and President of Serbia’s Football Federation Zvezdan Terzić were present at the meeting.
