Heidi Kuhn, founder and CEO of “Roots of Peace”, a humanitarian organization dedicated to the removal of landmines and the subsequent replanting and rebuilding of war-torn regions, has started her visit to Azerbaijan.

The main purpose of the visit, which took place at the invitation of the International Eurasia Press Fund and with the support of ANAMA, is to get acquainted with the mine problems in Azerbaijan, bring it to the attention of the international community and support conversion of mined areas into farmland.

During the visit, Kun will meet with government officials, representatives of international organizations, mine victims, journalists and civil society organizations.
