Ganja hosts second international oncological conference

The second international scientific oncological conference has been held in Ganja. Chief oncologist of Azerbaijan, Azad Kerimli, stressed the importance of the conference in terms of the promotion of cooperation among scientists, researchers and physicians. First Deputy General Director of the National Center of Oncology (SCO), professor Aziz Aliyev gave a paper on "The future in the treatment of cancer". The professor spoke about the work in the field of oncology and cancer treatment in Azerbaijan, contribution of Azerbaijan to modern oncology, unique operations performed at the National Center of Oncology.
Leading Russian and European oncologists discussed modern methods of treatment of breast cancer and reconstructive surgery, pediatric oncology, head and neck cancer, as well as problems of gynecological, colorectal and other cancers.
