GEORGE BUSH: ABY-GRABE PRISON TO BE DEMOLISHED
George Bush, speaking at the military college in state Pennsylvania, has told nothing about the time of withdrawal of the USA Armed forces from Iraq. But he stated that the American militaries would stay in Iraq “as long as they are necessary ”. Supreme commander in chief has stated that the US forces in Iraq would be kept at present level - 135 thousand people. However, in case commanders of the United States in places will demand additional forces, president Bush is ready to direct additional armies to Iraq.
In his speech George Bush has recollected and that the Iraq prisoners were exposed to insults on the part of soldiers of the USA. He has stated that prison Abu-Grabe in Baghdad, being a symbol of death and tortures during Saddam Hussein, has turned also to a symbol of the shameful treatment of some the American militaries with prisoners. According to the president of the United States, within the framework of the infrastructure transformations conducted in Iraq, the new modern prison would be constructed, and Abu-Grabe would be completely demolished.
Speaking, that “it will be uneasy to realize the five tasks planned by us”, George Bush does not exclude, that before and after the transfer of sovereignty to Iraq transitive authority, in the country the violence is possible. However, Bush has stated that the destiny of Iraq would be solved not by terrorists, and legitimate authority.
