Georgian Parliament Speaker: Azerbaijan is our strategic partner

“Azerbaijan is our strategic partner. We will try to strengthen friendly and brotherly relations between states, peoples and parliaments,” Georgian Parliament Speaker Irakli Kobakhidze has told AZERTAC. He stressed that there is a long history of friendship between Azerbaijani and Georgian peoples. “Our countries enjoy very good relations and the newly elected parliament will do its utmost to expand these ties,” he said.
Kobakhidze also hailed cooperation between the Azerbaijani and Georgian legislative bodies.
“Georgia is interested in developing inter-parliamentary relations.”
Kobakhidze said he plans to visit Azerbaijan in 2017.
