As correspondent of AzerTAj informs, prior to adoption of the constitutional charter of the European Union and elections to parliament of EU in Germany, has even more become aggravated confrontation between the opposition and authority in the question of admission of Turkey in members of the Union

In interview to newspaper "Tagestsaitung", the Prime Minister of Bavaria Land Edmund Schtoiber has told: “We, the Christian democrats (ХDС/ХСС) categorically object to admission of Turkey in members of the European Union. Thus, we are not going to isolate completely such state as Turkey, from the Union and resolutely we state that it is necessary for European Union to develop at a high level cooperation, partnership and friendship with Turkey, as the country the territory of which remains outside continent”.

He has stated that the most part of territory of Turkey is located outside the European continent. Formation of structure of the states of the European Union uniting the states of the European continent has already ended. If we shall prefer logic and position of the “red-green” coalition - “Borders of the European Union are boundless, in structure of the Union can welcome also the states of other continents”, then, after Turkey we should admit in members of the European Union and other Asian countries, aspiring to enter the Union, even Japan from the Far East.
