GERMANY-AZERBAIJAN DAY OF HIGHER SCHOOL TO BE HELD IN COLOGNE
Baku, September 3 (AZERTAC) The Germany-Azerbaijan day of higher school will be held October 9 in Cologne.
The event is aimed at enlarging cooperation between Azerbaijani and German higher education institutions and to conduct experience exchange.
The day of higher schools will be held within the framework of a European Union’s education project, the State Committee for Work with Azerbaijanis living abroad said.
Today, the Cologne University of Applied Science together with the Netherlands Heerlen University of Applied Sciences are cooperating with the Azerbaijan Technical University, Azerbaijan State oil Academy, Azerbaijan Architecture and Construction University, as well as Sumgayit State University and Mingachevir Polytechnic Institute.
The aim of the project is to improve education and to implement the new bachelor and master’s degree programs on “Automation and Information Techniques”, “Power Industry”, “Environment Protection Technique” and “Energy Management”.
Azerbaijan’s ambassador to Germany Parviz Shahbazov, as well as Chairman of the Azerbaijan-Germany Forum and former German State Secretary Otto Hauser, Chairman of the All Party Group, Bundestag member Steffen Reiche will participate in the event.
Azerbaijani Minister of Education Misir Mardanov is also expected to be among the participants at the event.
