A ceremony on the occasion of 84th anniversary of creation of Grand National Assembly of Turkey /GNAT/ and presentation of books devoted Azerbaijan-Turkey relations was held at Ataturk Center in Baku, on April 22, AzerTAj correspondent reports.

Addressing the ceremony participants, Head of the Center, Deputy of Milli Majlis, Prof. Nizami Jafarov noted that marking GNAT anniversaries in Azerbaijan had become a tradition. Such arrangements, according to him, serve further development of relationship between the two countries. This is also a legacy left us by founder of independent Azerbaijan Heydar Aliyev, he said.

After that, a presentation ceremony of the books by the late scholar-literary critic Shamil Gurbanov “Ataturk” and Narimanov”, writer Gilman Ilkin’s “Turkish Army in Baku” and publicist Anadolu Abilov’s “Ibrahim Abilov -Azerbaijani friend of Ataturk” was held.

Well-known workers of science & culture, representatives of intelligentsia, deputies of the Milli Majlis shared their impressions on these books.
