HEYDAR ALIYEV CUP INTERNATIONAL WOMEN`S VOLLEYBALL TOURNAMENT ENDS
The Heydar Aliyev Cup international women`s volleyball tournament has ended today in Baku.
The competition`s title was claimed by Turkey which defeated host Azerbaijan 3-1 in the last game on Saturday.
In the day`s other matches, Israel beat Greece 3-0, and Ukraine won Bulgaria 3-2.
Ukraine became second, and was followed by Bulgaria and Azerbaijan respectively.
The award giving ceremony took place at the Heydar Aliyev Sports and Concert Complex.
The awards were presented to winners by the European Volleyball Confederation`s President Andre Meyer, Vice President Riet Ooms and Chairman of the Board of Referees Yan Rek, as well as Turkish Ambassador in Baku Huseyin Avni Karslioglu, Azeri Deputy Minister of Youth and Sport Ismayil Ismayilov and Azerbaijan`s veteran volleyballer, twice world and Olympic champion Inna Riskal.
