The “Caspian oil & gas” Exhibition we are conducting for the eleventh time is an important event in the energy industry.
This Exhibition reaffirms the strengthening position of Azerbaijan among the countries of the Caspian region. Decisive and far-sighted oil strategy gives to Azerbaijan new force.
Besides, the mentioned strategy once again demonstrates the geo-strategic and geo-economic significance of Azerbaijan both as producer country and center for transportation of hydrocarbons to the world markets.
The two largest companies of Greece in oil & gas industry - DEPA and HELENIK Petroleum attend this arrangement.
Officials of both companies in the staff of business-delegation of Greece will accompany me in the upcoming state visit to Azerbaijan, this month. They will hold intensive negotiations with their Azerbaijani partners in the field of energy and cooperation in transportation of natural gas and oil to the Western Europe.
I am confident that their participation in the exhibition and conference, as well as exchange of views with the officials of Azerbaijan will lay foundation of new era in the Greece-Azerbaijan cooperation in the field of energy.
