Representatives of the French state company ONF International have prepared the business-plan for the international project on forest plantation implementation within the area of 5300 hectares. The project will be implemented in line with the Kyoto protocol, which determines the procedures restricting the greenhouse gases emission. The French side applied to various international organizations to finance the projects worth some €10 million.

French specialists picked out five greenhouses - Imishli /2000 hectares/, Agjabedi /1200 hectares/, Barda /500 hectares/, Yevlakh /1100 hectares/, Zagatala /500 hectares/ where plants will be irrigated. It is scheduled to plant poplar, locust and platan.

The project is said to be launched early 2005.
