INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE ON MIGRATION QUESTIONS HELD

European regional conference on the topic “Migrants and their social protection”, organized by the International Association of Social Insurance was held in Oslo, capital of Norway, Oslo. The worker of the State Fund of Social Protection Ogtay Ibrahimov represented Azerbaijan at the Conference.

As was informed to AzerTAj from the press-service of Fund, were heard the reports concerning migration questions in the countries, non-members of the European Union, including the legislation of these states in this area, the organization of social protection of migrants and their pension rights have been heard, the exchange of opinions.

In his statement, the representative of Azerbaijan has noted, that it is necessary to give more attention to studying of the problems arising in migration area, and also has informed participants of conference on the reforms spent in Azerbaijan in the field of social protection.

At the meetings, held within the Conference, discussed were numerous questions with representatives of some countries, as well as prospects of bilateral cooperation.
