INT’L CONFERENCE ON “RELIGION, PEACE AND OLYMPIC IDEALS” DUE IN ATHENS
On 9 August, head of the State Committee on work with Religious Structures of Azerbaijan Republic Mr. Rafig Aliyev on the invitation of the Patriarchy of Rome Varfolomei I will leave for Rome to participate at the conference on the topic “Religion, pace and the Olympic Ideals” due on 10-11 August 2004 in the capital of Athens.
As stated to AzerTAj from the State Committee on Work with Religious Structures, in work of this international conference, being held on the eve of XXVIII Summer Olympic games under the guardianship of the President of Greece Mr. Constantinos Stephanopoulos, will take part renown religious figures of world, representatives of governments and theologists.
