IRANIAN FOREIGN MINISTER VISITS MOSCOW
RF President V. Putin stressed his satisfaction with the level of bilateral relationship between Iran and Russia. “Iran is our old and stable partner. It is pleasure for us to confirm that relations between Russia and Iran are being developing on the solid basis of the 2001 agreement. Both sides remain adherent to the main principles reflected in the agreement, its spirit and contents”, the Russian President said. He also spoke of the successful economic cooperation as the goods turnover between the two countries has increased by 70 percent.
The sides also touched upon the issues of bilateral cooperation, situation in the region and issues of international policy.
Head of the IRI Foreign Office also met with the Council of Security secretary of Russia Igor Ivanov. In the course of the meeting, Mr. Ivanov said Russia is interested to continue political dialogue with Iran in the international arena as well.
