ISMAIL SERAGELDIN VISITS PRESIDENTIAL LIBRARY IN BAKU
Director of Library of Alexandria, the Egyptian President’s advisor on science and education Ismail Serageldin visited Thursday the Presidential Library in Baku as part of his Azerbaijan trip.
Mayil Ahmadov, Director of the library said it was established to provide necessary information to employees of the Presidential Administration, its departments, central and local executive bodies, as well as humanitarian researchers.
Ahmadov informed Ismail Serageldin about the library`s projects, electronic publications and electronic-bibliographical database.
Serageldin noted they have such a library in Egypt which was initiated by President Hosni Mubarak and his spouse.
He said the Egyptian library is also located in an old but well repaired building, adding “however, your library is much better and wider”.
Serageldin underlined that as proposed by first lady Mubarak, the library created its branches in various regions across the country, and said “I wish you the same”.
Serageldin was presented a book from the collection of the Presidential Library.
The Director of Library of Alexandria signed the library`s guest book.
