ITF Secretary General: WUF13 to drive global dialogue on transport and housing sectors
Berlin, May 11, AZERTAC
I believe that the thirteenth session of the World Urban Forum (WUF13), set take place in Baku on May 17-22, will feature high-level discussions on transport and housing sectors, Young Tae Kim, Secretary-General of the International Transport Forum (ITF), told AZERTAC.
“During the Annual ITF Summit in Leipzig, Germany, we had the pleasure of welcoming the head of Habitat for the first time. When we had a bilateral discussion, she really focused on connecting the housing sector to transport sectors,” he said.
“And she, as the organizer of the Urban Forum in Baku, totally understands that there should be a link, the smooth link between transport and other sectors, and especially the digitalization of the transport system is a really important topic these days. And I think when you organize an Urban Forum in Baku, there will be a lot of interesting conversation linking those two different sectors. But I believe that she will manage coordinating this different cross-sector collaboration during that period,” the ITF Secretary General added.
