Chairman of Caucasus Muslims Office: Azerbaijan acts as initiator of peace and development projects in the region
Istanbul, May 13, AZERTAC
Sheikhulislam Allahshukur Pashazade, Chairman of the Caucasus Muslims Office, addressed the panel session on the theme “Living on a Planet Where Water and Green are Depleting” held as part of the 29th Eurasian Economic Summit held in Istanbul.
Describing the cataclysms around the world as a threat to humanity, the Chairman of the Caucasus Muslims Office said: “Unfortunately, the era we live in is characterized by major confrontations and human massacres. Conflicts on geopolitical, economic, ethnic, religious, and racial grounds, along with intensifying climate change, threaten the future of humanity. All these challenges primarily stem from the disruption of divine order and the detachment of people from their moral and ethical roots.”
Noting that Azerbaijan has also been subjected to war crimes, massacres, and genocide, Sheikhulislam Allahshukur Pashazade added: “Thankfully, under President Ilham Aliyev’s leadership, we have fully restored our territorial integrity and sovereignty recognized by the international community. Today, we are carrying out large-scale reconstruction and development in our liberated lands, giving new life to temples belonging to Muslim, Christian and other religions, reviving our cultural and spiritual heritage, rebuilding our cities, and acting as initiator of peace and progress projects in the region."
Subsequently, Sheikhulislam Allahshukur Pashazade was presented with honorary gifts by Akkan Suver, President of the Marmara Group Strategic and Social Research Foundation.
Organized by the Marmara Group Strategic and Social Research Foundation, the 29th Eurasian Economic Summit brings together nearly 400 delegates from 48 countries.
