Vienna hosts event promoting Azerbaijan’s Eurovision 2026 representative

A Day of Azerbaijan was organized at the Azerbaijan Cultural Center in Vienna to support Jiva (Jamila Hashimova), who will represent Azerbaijan at the Eurovision Song Contest 2026.
Organized by the “Eurovision” delegation of Azerbaijan and supported by the Azerbaijan Cultural Center, the event brought together representatives of the countries participating in the competition, Azerbaijanis living in Austria, as well as friends of Azerbaijani music and culture.
Leyla Gasimova, Director of the Azerbaijan Cultural Center in Vienna, said that music is a universal language connecting people, adding that the contest is a wonderful example of the spirit of unity and cultural exchange.
Rovshan Sadigbayli, Azerbaijani Ambassador to Austria, noted that Azerbaijan's participation in Eurovision is of great significance in terms of promoting the contemporary culture of the country.
The vibrant evening held at the Azerbaijan Cultural Center, showcased the rich culture, national music, and cuisine of Azerbaijan.
As part of the event, Azerbaijani pianist, composer, and conductor Abuzar Manafzade, who is currently living in Austria, as well as musicians Mila Miles and Rilayya, who travelled from Baku to support Jiva, performed with a musical program.
The event participants wished the Azerbaijani representative success, expressing their confidence that the country would be worthily represented in the contest.
