Richard Raši: Slovakia is proud to contribute to the reconstruction of the liberated territories of Garabagh
Baku, May 13, AZERTAC
“The primary objective of today’s visit is to strengthen the parliamentary dimension of our relations. This pillar must continue to be reinforced at all levels of cooperation between our legislative bodies,” Richard Raši, Speaker of the National Council of Slovakia, said during a joint press conference with Sahiba Gafarova, Speaker of the Milli Majlis, on May 13.
He noted that parliamentary diplomacy and cooperation are of immense importance, stating that the pinnacle of today's talks was the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding on Inter-parliamentary Cooperation between the National Council of Slovakia and the Milli Majlis of Azerbaijan.
Richard Raši also emphasized that parliaments are not merely legislative entities; they can also serve as vital drivers of economic diplomacy:
“We are committed to the active development of our economic ties, and Slovakia is proud to contribute to the reconstruction of the liberated territories of Garabahh.”
