Jordan ‘determined’ to boost relations with Azerbaijan
Amman, June 20 (AZERTAC). “Jordan is determined to boost relations with Azerbaijan,” Jordanian Minister of Culture Lana Mamkegh has said during a meeting with Azerbaijani ambassador in Amman Sabir Aghabayov.
Mamkegh hailed relations between the two countries as friendly and fraternal. “Personal friendly relations of the heads of states play an immense role in strengthening the bilateral ties.”
The Jordanian minister noted the significance of continuing efforts “to strengthen our friendly relations with Azerbaijan, especially in the cultural area”.
Ambassador Aghabayov said Azerbaijan was ready for partnership with Jordan. He praised cultural cooperation between the two countries.
They discussed the organization of the Jordanian culture and arts days in Azerbaijan this year.
Touching upon the Armenian-Azerbaijani Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, Aghabayov said Azerbaijan had more than one million refugees and IDPs. He added that the problem had been a serious barrier to the country’s economy for long years.
