JUSTICE MINISTER MEETS US AMBASSADOR
During the meeting, the guest has also been informed on the work being carried out to continue legal reforms, including improvement - in line with President Ilham Aliyev’s instruction - of the judicial system, and ensuring independence of judges.
Pointing out the importance of the democratic reforms in the country, Ambassador Reno Harnish stressed that useful cooperation between Azerbaijan and the United States would further continue, and highly appreciated Azerbaijan’s efforts in combating international terrorism mentioning availability of wide opportunities for interaction. The diplomat emphasized the readiness of his country to render appropriate assistance in various spheres including teaching judges and legal experts.
A fruitful opinions exchange has been held as well on the Issues related to activities of humanitarian organizations and businessmen in Azerbaijan, importance of the new legislation on state registration of the judicial persons.
