LEGISLATURE BODIES OF AZERBAIJAN AND RUSSIA SUCCESSFULLY COOPERATE
As the correspondent of AzerTAj reports from the Russian capital, on April 20, the Azerbaijan Members of Parliament have carried out in the State Duma of Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation a meeting with Chairmen of the Duma Committees and separate deputies. So, the delegation had wide exchange of opinions on development of inter-parliamentary relations with the heads of the committee of the State Duma on CIS affairs, committee on agrarian questions, committee on the credit organizations and the financial markets. During meetings, the sides have informed each other on political and economic situation in the countries, and also have planned the basic priorities of the further cooperation. Within the framework of meetings of the Azerbaijan delegation, were presented separate legislative materials on this or that subjects.
On the same day, first deputy chairman of MM Arif Rahimzadeh and the Azerbaijan deputies had a meeting with the first vice-speaker of the State Duma Lubov Sliska. During the meeting, the sides have emphasized a high level of inter-parliamentary connections, especially recently. L. Sliska has noted that inter-parliamentary meetings acquired regular character, and this year they are especially productive. February visit of the President of the Azerbaijan Republic Ilham Aliyev to Russia, L. Sliska has noted, was the strong pulse in strengthening and deepening of interstate relations between Azerbaijan and Russia. As she said, the first visit of Chairman of the State Duma Boris Gryzlov also rendered positive influence on development of inter-parliamentary contacts. The first vice-speaker of the State Duma has expressed also deep satisfaction in connection with that the fact that in Azerbaijan there are no the problems connected to the Russian-speaking population, the Russian channels are freely broadcast in the Republic, the Russian language is kept. She also highly has estimated activity of the re-created inter-parliamentary commission, which has held the third session in Moscow. “ Relations between our states develop very well, and we should use all available political, economic, human reserves by way of cooperation in the name of the blessing of two peoples”, Lybov Sliska told.
In turn, First Deputy Chairman of Milli Majlis Arif Rahimzadeh has stated that in Azerbaijan everyone shares opinion of the Russian side. As he said, really, interstate relations of two states develop dynamically, and after February visit of the Head of Azerbaijani State Ilham of Aliyev to the Russian Federation they have received a new pulse, and are on qualitatively new level. The agreements signed during this first official visit of the President of Azerbaijan to Moscow, she has told, open ample opportunities for cooperation and are aimed at rapprochement of two peoples, on development of cooperation at all levels.
A. Rahimzadeh also has informed L. Sliska on results of session of the inter-parliamentary commission, having noted, that have taken place very useful meetings as a result of which the positive actions have been planned, able to promote process of rapprochement, both the legislature bodies and the two peoples as a whole.
A. Ragimzadeh has passed the first vice-speaker of the State Duma L. Sliska the official invitation to visit Azerbaijan with a working visit.
