MEETING AT MINISTRY OF LABOR AND SOCIAL PROTECTION OF POPULATION
The Minister pointed out that it is stimulation of employment and new jobs opening that is the most effective instrument to improve the social protection of the population. From this standpoint, he said, the President-approved “State Program of Social and Economic Development of the Regions of Azerbaijan republic” fully reflects the existing realities and implies creation of a radical turn in people’s lives, improvement of their social conditions, opening new job opportunities in provinces etc.
Head of OSCE Baku Office, Ambassador Maurizio Pavesi noted in his turn that this policy would soon lead to radical changes in the county’s economy, but at the same time, stressed the necessity to develop small and medium entrepreneurship in the provinces using local potential, and create favorable conditions for attraction of foreign investors, as well as organize appropriate training courses for local executives bodies and specialists.
It was noted as well that the mentioned measures as continuation of the economic reforms being implemented in Azerbaijan would promote improvement of the living conditions of the population through development of local entrepreneurship and increase in employment, and therefore, dynamic development of the country’s economy.
