MEETING IN THE CABINET OF MINISTERS
Welcoming the guests, the Head of Government emphasized that Azerbaijan is interested in development of all-sided cooperation with Russia in various spheres including military and technical one. According to him, an Agreement on military and technical cooperation has been signed between Azerbaijan and Russia, and many problems have been solved. A visit of such a representative delegation to Azerbaijan, he said, will allow to coordinate the joint activity, find new mutually beneficial forms of cooperation.
Speaking of the developing Russia-Azerbaijan relations, Artur Rasizadeh mentioned they had been fostered exactly after President Vladimir Putin’s coming to power in Russia.
Mr. Mikhail Dmitriyev conveyed to Prime-Minster of Azerbaijan kind wishes from his Russian counterpart Minister Mikhail Fradkov, and Defense Minister Sergey Ivanov, and emphasized that President Ilham Aliyev’s visit to the Russian Federation had become a new impetus for to expand the bilateral relations.
The parties also exchanged views on a number of other issues of mutual interest.
Present at the meeting was Ambassador of Russia to Azerbaijan Nukolay Ryabov.
